Nintendo Entertainment System

Welcome to the NES

The NES is the first console that Nintendo produced. Nintendo started out as a company that produced arcade systems and games. This was step that made Nintendo the company it is knowing as today.

The NES was a console that could play nearly all of the arcade games that Nintendo had previously released. This console offered people to play the arcade games they loved at home in a single machine.

NES Emulator

The NES emulator allows you to play this old console and its games on either a PC or on a new console. What ever is your preference. I will be showing how to do it on a PC. I will eventually show how to do it on the Wii.

The emulator i suggest for this is the emulator called FCEUX Click the link here to find where to download the emulator.

NES Games/Roms

In order to play NES games on the emulator you must first download Roms. You can find the games you are looking for at the following links:
  1. CoolROM
  2. DopeROMs
Find the games you wish to play.

How to Load the Games/Roms

First open the emulator. Then at the top right of the emulator window is the tab called "File". Click File. Then go to open rom. Navigate to where you have saved the Rom files. Choose the game you wish to play.

Have fun playing these old games that have hours of fun for you to enjoy.

Super Mario Bros Review

Published by Nintendo 1985 for the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System)

Not only did this game define platform gaming as we know it, but few games have ever surpassed Super Marie Bros in terms of fun and addictiveness. The game's imaginative levels, tight control, and sheer variety are simply amazing for a 1985 release. Its familiar music and bright, inviting graphics are permanently etched into so many childhood memories.

Mario can bash blocks, dash, swim, pounce on enemies, and kick turtle shells into groups of oncoming foes. With the help of power-ups, he can double in size, hurl fireballs, or gain temporary invincibility. These power-ups are crucial to your survival in this game.

There's ample room for technique and numerous secrets to discover. Coins are found all over the place, and collecting 100 earns you a extra life. Each world consists of four stages, the last concluding with an encounter with Mario's dragon arch-nemesis, Bowser.

You can't save your in game progress, but this is partially remedied by secret warp areas that allow you to skip ahead to advanced stages. In addition, you can continue by holding the A button when you restart a game. In addition to seeing how far you can get, the game is also fun to play for high score.

If you haven't played this brilliant game in a while, you owe it to yourself to see how super Mario bros has withstood the test of time like few others can.

Since this game game me so much entertainment and frustration for hours (truthfully days). Was first time playing this game, I had played the sequels but never this game. I had to play it on an emulator but since playing this fantastic game I am seriously considering purchasing the NES to enjoy this game with the classic and memorial console controller.
I will give this game 5 smiley faces out of 5 for the amount of enjoyment I had playing this.
If you wish to either enjoy this game for the first time or revisit it you can get it here or here.
